We are excited to announce that the US Department of Education has designated the Naselle-Grays River Valley Schools as a 2009 Blue Ribbon School. This award honors schools that are either academically superior, or have made dramatic gains in student achievement and helped close gaps in achievement among minority and disadvantaged students.
Nationwide, only 314 schools achieved this status (out of more than 120,000 schools), and only 4 in Washington, and we are honored to be one of these schools.
This achievement is the result of the dedication and hard work of our students, our teachers and school staff, our parents, and our community -- and we thank everyone for helping us achieve this honor.
See the Department of Education's news release for more details.
